Kevin’s Legacy Foundation has made the difficult decision to bring the Color for Kindness 5K Walk/Run to a close.

This decision was not made lightly.

​

Since the beginning, Color for Kindness has brought our community together to honor loved ones, raise awareness for mental health and suicide prevention, and remind individuals and families that they are never alone. What began as a community event grew into a meaningful tradition filled with remembrance, connection, kindness, and hope.

​

As an all-volunteer organization, planning and hosting this event requires significant time, resources, and support. After thoughtful reflection and careful consideration, we have determined that stepping away from the event is the most responsible path forward at this time.

​

“We are incredibly grateful to every participant, sponsor, volunteer, donor, and community member who has supported Color for Kindness throughout the years,” said Connie Romanowski, Founder of Kevin’s Legacy Foundation. “This event has always been about much more than a 5K. It has been a way to honor lives, support one another, and continue important conversations about mental health. While Color for Kindness will no longer take place, the mission and message behind it remain as important as ever.”

We are proud of the awareness, support, and sense of community that Color for Kindness helped foster throughout the Coulee Region. To everyone who walked, ran, volunteered, sponsored, donated, shared their story, or stood beside us in support of this mission - thank you.
